I'm having a nice day

details to follow.

Update:

Well, I've been having an absolutely great day at work.

What made it even better was that as my husband and I were walking down Castro street, we ran into Chadfox!

We had gone down to the Castro after Stkyrice picked me up from work. He was a little hungry, but since I had a late lunch, I really wasn't. So the decision wasa to go to Quickly, so he can grab something light there. He ended up getting popcorn chicken and a coconut snow at Quickly. We walked up Castro after getting the food and actually had no idea of where we were going. It was a very "blond leading the blond" moment. After walking down Market street a bit, this was our conversation:

Stkyrice: Uh, where are we going?
Me: I don't know. Where are we going?
SR: I don't know. I just followed you.
Me: I don't know. I just started walking.

We turned around and started heading back towards the car.

The two of us were just chatting as we made our way up Castro street, when we heard someone call out my name. I turned around and there was the fantastic Chadfox! We ended up chatting right there with him on Castro street and it was really fun. It was the first time we ran into each other after the Blogger Meet Up where we met. I remembered his name and blog, because a friend of mine is totally in love/lust with him and had mentioned his name to me. So of course, when I saw his name tag at the Blogger Meet Up, I had to say hi to him, introduce myself and tell him that my friend thinks he's the cat's meow!

One thing that came out of our discussion, Chadfox kissed me...twice, on the lips!

Hey, he's a hot guy and I'm a fully functioning faggot! I was in heaven :)

oh yeah, the one thing...Chadfox told me that he liked my haiku's!

I'm sure we talked about other things and I'll remember them when I dream. The husband did remark later on, that he only recognized me, because of him. Are the two of us really that joined at the hip?

Chadfox left us and made his way home, while we headed on our way to the car. We were almost there, then I saw my cousin Michael. He was sitting in his car on the corner of 18th and Collingwood. At first, I thought he was cruising, but then thought better of it. My family is not very "open" and so during one of the frank discussions I had with my mom, she asked me if Michael was gay. I told her that I had no idea. So that discussion was on my mind, when I saw him on this corner. We went up to his car and chatted.

I was kinda afraid of getting hit by passing cars, but I just kept my ass pulled in, very unlike the trashy street corner ho that I am, please disregard this setting. Michael worked for a laboratory now and he was waiting to pick up lab samples at the doctor's office on that corner. We chatted about our respective families. New illnesses, kids, etc. It was very "family oriented" and on the streets of Castro no less! I found out that he lived in Sunnyvale now. I still don't know if he's dating or not. I'd be really interested in finding out if he was in fact, gay or not. That particular question, did not come up during our conversation. Although I did introduce him to Stkyrice as my partner.

So I was really happy, because I hadn't seen Michael in years. The last time we saw each other, I was working at the Asian AIDS Project (now the API Wellness Center)and my office was on 4th Street in the SOMA. This was back in 1996.

Now, after all this chatting, I was hungry. We left Michael and headed over to King of Thai Noodle on Sloat.

It was a good day.

It's the little things,
That can perk up one's whole day.
Like a hug or kiss.

AiYahh!
