Your relative died in Nigeria

I can't be the only person that's sick and tired of getting all those fuckin spam telling me that one of my relatives died in some freaking accident in Nigeria (or some other place). And now, all I have to do is send this kind person (more like cheating scumbag) some money and I can get the inheritance.

Well, as of today, spammees (is that even a word???) are rejoicing all over the world.

The Nigerian court has sentenced a woman to two and a half years jail time for email fraud. The woman, Amaka Anajemba, must also pay back $48.5 million to the defrauded bank, $5 million to the government (I assume the Nigerian government, but it could be the Brazilian government) and pay a fine of $15,000.

This case was brought to court by Nigeria's new Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), established in 2003. This is the first major conviction by EFCC, let's hope that there are more in the works.

Two others were arrested along with Anajemba, but they are still awaiting trial. She changed her previous not guily plea to guilty to get a shorter sentence.

I think the punishment should fit the crime. The accused should be given sentences that reflect how many emails were sent and distributed throughout the world. So I wonder if Nigeria has the death sentence? Even better, let each person who received one of these emails give them one good hit. If there are only ten people, oh well. If there are tens of thousands...that's their just desserts.

Don't Phunk With My Heart
or send me any yo spam
I mess you up, Bitch!

AiYahh!
